The Guardian Foundation reached out to us with a mission: to elevate awareness about its critical work in addressing the rampant challenges of misinformation and disinformation that permeate today’s media landscape. Driven by a commitment to uphold freedom and ensure broad access to global journalism, the Foundation is dedicated to empowering individuals to critically evaluate the news they consume. Additionally, it strives to enrich the capabilities of liberal media outlets, encouraging them to champion fact-based journalism in a climate where truth can often be overshadowed.
To truly convey the heart and soul of the Foundation’s initiatives, we conducted insightful interviews with Kelly Walls, the passionate Executive Director, and Gary Younge, an esteemed journalist and devoted trustee. Their perspectives reveal the Foundation’s impactful programs focused on educating young minds about media literacy and bolstering the efforts of journalists worldwide who strive to maintain high standards of integrity and accuracy in their reporting.
In conjunction with this project, we crafted a vibrant array of social media posts designed to captivate and inform audiences about the Foundation’s vital work. These visually engaging materials aim to not only spotlight the initiatives being undertaken but also to underscore the crucial importance of nurturing responsible journalism in an era where the capacity for critical news consumption is more essential than ever.
