Breaking the radicalisation cycle.
Born from the EU-funded SMIDGE project headed by De Montfort University – #ChatAnna is a three-part video podcast drama designed to counter the narratives of right-wing groups targeting 45–65-year-olds who can be vulnerable to social media mis and disinformation.
The drama features studio guests taking dial-in calls from a range of characters, pitting extremist views on immigration, climate change, and conspiracies against powerful counter-arguments. Bite-sized clips from the show will be disseminated across social media directly to those most at risk.
These films will also be used as educational resources, and training materials to help journalists, security professionals, and communities build digital resilience.
