Hamlett Films joins EVCOM panel discussion: ‘(Set) Location, Location, Location’

What do you do when it turns out you’re filming on a flight path? Or the building next to set is being demolished? Sian Hamlett, director of Hamlett films, facilitated a recent EVCOM webinar to discuss shooting on location

Joined by filmmakers Andrew de Lotbinere (Pukka Films), Nick Howard (Limehouse), Eliot Carroll (Tinderflint) and Jonny Ross (Hamlett Films) to share tips from their years in the business. Key takeaways included:

  •  The value of sound production as much as visuals.
  • The importance of location scouts when filming in unfamiliar locations
  • The transformation of less than ideal locations

Crucially, shooting under Covid-19 guidelines, the importance of communication to crews, clients, contributors and the implications for the future. At Hamlett Films we’re always staying on top of the latest safety advice and government guidelines. Jonny, our Production Manager, is fully trained in Covid compliant filming and best practice.
