Hamlett Films has been commissioned to bring alive social studies for Welsh students in a new series of films for BBC Bitesize Wales. We are responding to radical change in how social studies is taught as part of the all new Welsh curriculum. Lessons will be culturally relevant, allowing for local nuance and teacher autonomy.
We couldn’t wait to get going and kicked off this week with an immersion process. This means that the team learns all about the new curriculum from our leading educational consultants, ensuring that students receive content that’s exactly up to speed. All films will be tested with our audience; listening to Welsh students and understanding the curriculum is the only way to make films that resonate with our audience and are pedagogically excellent.
The Welsh Hamlett Films team members are proud to be deepening their involvement with their home country, as well as telling important stories for a new diverse generation of Welsh students.
